Ayurvedic Remedies for Arthritis
Arthritis is characterized by inflammation, pain and swelling in the joints. Various kinds of arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis, septic arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis. Few of the symptoms of Arthritis include lack of flexibility, pain and swelling in joints, fever and enlargement of the bone. One should include berries (cherries, blueberries, and strawberries), grapes, plums, olive oil, vitamin C, hemp seeds, pacific oysters, carotenes, chia seeds, walnuts, black currants, salmon sardines, eggplant, ginger, turmeric, flax seeds, green tea, anchovies and rainbow trout in diet.
Ayurvedic Remedies
Take 8 oz. of warm water and mix 2 tbsp of honey and 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Keep sipping this between intervals of 2-3 hours throughout the day.
Take 1 cup of lukewarm water and mix 2 tsp of honey and 1/2 small tsp of cinnamon powder. Have this every morning before breakfast. Continue this for a month for evident results. One should do this 3 times a day in case of chronic condition.
As per Ayurveda, having water that has been stored in a copper jar for 8 hours in the morning empty stomach balances all the three doshas in the body, (vata, kapha and pitta). Copper is useful for patients suffering from arthritis, pain and inflammation. It also strengthens the bones and the overall muscular system. Copper water keeps one active and energized for the rest of the day.
Boil a glass of water with 6-8 mint leaves. When the solution is reduced to half, filter it and have. Have this 2 times a day.
Take 6-7 fresh and soft guava leaves and make a paste of this by crushing it and adding a little water. Add a pinch of rock salt to the paste. Have this every day.
Take 3-5 har singar / night jasmine leaves and boil in 2 glass of water. Filter and drink the solution when it is reduced to 1/4th. Do this for 21 days.
Soak 1 tsp of black sesame seeds overnight in 1 quarter cup of water. Have this water in the morning empty stomach along with the seeds.
Make thin slices of a medium sized potato (along with the skin) and soak it overnight in a glass of water. Have the water empty stomach in the morning
Have 3-4 walnuts on an empty stomach.
Regular intake of wheatgrass juice is beneficial. Wheatgrass has chlorophyll that brawls inflammation that is related to joint pain.
