Research

A study was conducted in West Virginia at the Wheeling Jesuit University led by Bryan Raudenbush, Ph.D. The study proved that people who are exposed to peppermint (whether inhaled or ingested) consumed about a whopping 2,800 fewer calories a week as compared to those who were not. This study also concluded that inhaling peppermint oil increases brain activity and alertness and decreases hunger. Dr. Bryan said that peppermint increase meal satisfaction and suggested that peppermint should be organic without any trace of chemicals.

One another study which was by led by Dr. William N. Dember, conducted at the University of Cincinnati concluded that peppermint increases mental alertness and focus by 28 percent.


Recipe

Take a cup of water and boil it with 1 tsp of fresh peppermint leaves for over 5 minutes. Put off the flame and let it steep for another 5 minutes. Strain the solution and have 2-3 cups of this solution daily.
