Quick and Healthy Nutrition Packed Banana Mango smoothie

Ingredients:

½ ripe Mango

1 Banana

½ cup Milk

2 tbsp of Yogurt

1 tsp of crushed Jaggery (optional)


Process:

Blend all these and serve as a tasty, nutritious and healthy snack or breakfast

Of late smoothies have become very popular especially in North America. Although they are high in calories but they also serve as a power packed glass full of nutrients. The above smoothie is full of nutrients such as calcium, phytochemicals, vitamins, folate, beta-carotene, anti-oxidants and minerals. This can also be given to kids to compensate for all any nutritional imbalance. Skipping meals has adverse effects on our body but this smoothie can be a meal replacement for people who do not find enough time for a full meal. To make this smoothie even more nutritious you can also add flax seeds, avocados, tofu, wheat bran, almonds and peanut butter. Experiment with flavors and ingredients to make them suitable for your taste and fitness goals.


The half cup of milk offers 150 mg of calcium, 190 mg of potassium and 50 IU of vitamin D. Bananas are full of potassium, soluble fiber content and compounds such as Serotonin and dopamine. Mangoes are rich in vitamin C and fiber. Clearly, this smoothie makes way for a perfect balance in terms of the recommended daily allowance of nutrients needed by our body.
